What does dental insurance cover?
The VHI Dental Direct Pay schemes provide significant cover – up to 70% of the annual costs – for two routine examinations, x-rays, hygiene visits and extensive treatments.
I’m interested: what do I do next?
All you have to do is contact VHI Dental before attending Shields Dental & Implant Clinic for your first appointment. Before treatment commences, a report will be sent to the insurance company for approval and a treatment plan provided to the patient. Following treatment, the scheme provider directly reimburses the practice, minus any patient excess, thus removing the need for lengthy form filling in and waiting periods for reimbursement.
How does VHI Dental work?
After treatment, the dentist will get you to sign the VHI Dental claim form and submit the claim. VHI Dental will then pay the practice directly.
If further treatment is needed, Shields Dental & Implant Clinic will provide VHI Dental with a treatment plan for approval before your next visit.
