Skin-firming proteins – collagen and elastin production also slow as we get older and as a result of exposure to the sun. This results in the development of fine lines and wrinkles both under and around the eyes (called “crows feet”).

- Retinol, also known as Vitamin A1 works to thicken the deeper layers of skin, where wrinkles form. It preserves skin-firming collagen, whilst increasing cell turnover, encouraging younger-looking skin and a smoother texture.
- Peptides work by stimulating the skin’s own production of a structural protein called collagen. Collagen is a vital component of plump, youthful-looking skin. Production of this protein gradually declines with age, which is a major cause of wrinkles.

Anti-wrinkle injectables have been used in several medical procedures. In cosmetic applications, it incorporates a series of injections which relax facial muscles and make lines less visible. The procedure uses very fine needles to help eliminate lines such as wrinkles, crows feet and frown lines. Injectables are thus a non-surgical treatment, very quick and straightforward. Furthermore, it helps to prevent the future development of wrinkles and fine lines.

Hyaluronic acid fillers are used to add natural volume back to the sunken areas under the eyes. Dermal fillers can be used to fill in deep lines, creases and wrinkles in the face, and add volume to lips that are wrinkled or thin. Dermal fillers do not require any anaesthetic as the main brands (Juvederm Ultra andRestylane) already contain an anaesthetic.
The procedure is straightforward and simple with no surgical elements. The effects last for up to 9 months. Dermal fillers are injected into the tissue beneath the skin. They expand the neurofibres and tauten the skin to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
PRGF therapy

The Vampire Facial (also known as a blood facial or PRGF facial) is a revolutionary treatment for many areas, including the upper and lower eye area. It was developed for people wanting healthy, smooth and rejuvenated skin quickly and without surgery.
The procedure works by harnessing one’s own body’s healing and regenerative capabilities and thus it is completely safe.
A Vampire Facial involves taking blood from the patient’s arm and using a centrifuge to separate the platelets and plasma from the red blood cells. From there, Dermapen microneedling infuses the skin with the platelet-rich plasma (PRGF) and this helps to promote cell turnover in the skin. The result is smoother, younger looking skin.
